Solideal Tire was named "Supplier of the Year" by Nissan Forklift Corp. of North America for the third consecutive year.
Nissan rates its more than 60 daily suppliers on quality, cost and delivery (QCD) as part of its QCD report. The company earning Supplier of the Year honors needs to perform "almost perfectly" in categories such as quality and rejected parts rate; cost reduction planning and implementation; on-time and correct deliveries; reaction time; and follow-up on requests and corrective actions.
Thom Hronis, vice president of sales and marketing, Ted Vanke, OEM sales manager, and Tony Paiva, branch manager for Solideal's Machesney Park, Ill., facility, were on hand to accept the award from Mark Akabori, president of Nissen Forklift.
