Goodyear Dunlop Europe to outsource with IBM

March 29, 2004

Goodyear Dunlop Europe has entered into a 10-year procurement-to-payment outsourcing contract with IBM for indirect supplies.

The program "will establish a consistent and conolidated system across all 15 countries (covered by Dunlop Europe) mandating a strict procurement process for all employees," say Goodyear officials.

Indirect supplies include items like telecommunications, information technology, business travel, office supplies, manufacturing maintenance and other things.

They do not include the company's purchase of raw materials.

"The activities of between 50 and 80 Goodyear Dunlop employees will be transferred to IBM on a phased basis."

IBM will negotiate on behalf of Goodyear Dunlop.

The contract is worth an estimated 50 million euros, say Goodyear officials.
