Jim Fournier, retired Associated Equipment exec. v.p., dies

James Fournier, 69, retired executive vice president of Associated Equipment Corp. in St. Louis, Mo., passed away on March 18.

Fournier retired from Associated Equipment in 1993. Prior to his tenure with Associated, he was vice president, marketing of Maremont Corp. in Chicago.

Fournier had served as chairman of the board of both the Automotive Service Industry Association and the Car Care Council. He also was active in numerous industry organizations including the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Automotive Sales Council.

"Jim was a true leader in the automotive aftermarket," said William Drake, president of Associated Equipment. "An energetic and creative member of our industry, he had a host of friends and he’ll be missed."
