Alcoa Forged Specialty Wheels has signed on as national sponsor for the United Rockcrawling and Off-Road Challenge (UROC) 2004 Pro National Series.
The sponsorship continues Alcoa's racing heritage, the company says.
In the 1980s, Alcoa sponsored the Ford/BFGoodrich Rough Rider teams in off-road events, and in the 1990s, it supported The Turtle Expedition Unltd. in an around-the-world journey that included driving on the frozen rivers of Siberia in a Ford F-350 equipped with Alcoa wheels.
