Goodyear names NAT director

Feb. 26, 2004

Steve Pauly has been named director of manufacturing, commercial tires for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s North American Tire (NAT) business unit.

Pauly, 46, replaces Ed Arend, who retired last year. He reports to Brant (Snak) Schnackenberg, vice president of NAT manufacturing and Steve McClellan, vice president of commercial tire systems for NAT.

Pauly was previously plant manager of the Goodyear-Dunlop tire manufacturing facility in Buffalo, N.Y.

He began his career at the Buffalo plant in 1979 as a tire builder. He was later promoted to several management positions within the plant, including section manager, general foreman, department manager and business center manager.

In 1995, he was named business center manager at the Dunlop tire plant in Huntsville, Ala. A year later, he was promoted to production manager in Huntsville, a position he held until returning to Buffalo as plant manager in 1998.
