Detroit Auto Show: Goodyear wins several OE fitments

Jan. 12, 2004

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. recently announced at the Detroit Auto Show that it will supply original equipment run-flat tires for the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V and 2005 Corvette.

Goodyear will supply its size P245/45WR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT (Extended Mobility Technology) tire for the Cadillac CTS-V.

The next-generation Corvette will ride on Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT tires in P245/40ZR18 for the front and P285/35ZR19 for the rear.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT tire will be the fitment on the Z51 Performance Package version of the Corvette, say Goodyear officials.

Goodyear's run-flat technology lets cars run for up to 80 miles at speeds of up to 50 mph after air pressure loss thanks to sidewall reinforcements that prevent the tire from leaving the rim.
