Pirelli Tire North America Inc. announced at the Detroit Auto Show that its P Zero Nero and P6 Four Seasons tires have won new original equipment fitments on Ford Motor Co. vehicles.
The P235/55ZR17 P Zero Nero will be OE on the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, while the P6 Four Seasons will be OE on the 2005 Mercury Montego, the 2005 Ford Focus ST and the 2005 Ford Freestyle.
Last year, the P6 Four Seasons tire was chosen as OE for the Mercury Marquis, the Lincoln Town Car and the Crown Victoria.
The Mustang GT's P Zero Neros will be made at PTNA's automated MIRS (Modular Integrated Robotized System) plant in Rome, Ga.
PTNA has 11 OE fitments with Ford Motor Co. overall.
