After a year-long search, SURE Tire Co. has hired Patrick McLaughlin as its executive director.
Steve Disney, SURE Tire's president, says McLaughlin will be given a lot of responsibility. He will manage day-to-day operations, procure programs for the benefit of the 28 shareholders, and perform some administrative duties.
He has "the vision and leadership required to take this group into the future," adds Disney.
McLaughlin is a longtime industry veteran. He worked for Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. and then Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for many years. Most recently, he was director of wholesale operations for Ben Tire Distributors Ltd.
SURE Tire, based in Brandon, Fla., exclusively controls the Summit brand internationally and the Remington brand in the United States.
