Tom Cooney, a past editor of Tire Review magazine, died unexpectedly at his home on March 4, 2002. He was 59.
Cooney worked for many years at the Akron, Ohio-based Babcox publication. He was also a part-time teacher at the University of Akron.
He leaves a son, daughter, two brothers and a sister. Donations may be made in his name to the Epilepsy Foundation.
