Bridgestone Corp. says it has sold its three-millionth run-flat tire, nearly two years after reaching the one million mark in February 2004.
"Rapid growth in demand for run-flats...(has boosted) Bridgestone's capability in developing run-flat technologies," say Bridgestone officials.
Bridgestone developed its first run-flat for production model vehicles in 1987.
