Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced it will raise prices up to 6% on all its major and associate brand consumer, commercial and off-the-road tires. The increases will be effective Jan. 1, 2006.
The company says increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs have necessitated the increases.
Michelin North America Inc., Yokohama Tire Corp. and Continental Tire North America Inc. also will raise tire prices at the beginning of the year.
