Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has picked Elkhart, Ind.-based Tredit Tire & Wheel Co. to distribute its Marathon line of trailer tires to original equipment trailer manufacturers.
Tredit will supply mounted tire and wheel assemblies.
"For Goodyear, the benefit is an opportunity to increase sales of our Marathon line and to achieve more OE fitments on recreational and utility trailers," says Mike Parnell, Goodyear's vice president, OE tires.
Goodyear will continue to sell replacement trailer tires through its dealer network.
Tredit has eight locations that distribute nationally.
