STL unveils load/deflection machine

Sept. 1, 2005

Massillon, Ohio-based Standards Testing Laboratories (STL) has unveiled a load/deflection test machine that can handle tires up to 60 inches in diameter.

The machine is designed to test how tires react when placed under different loads.

"Our load/deflection test machine can be configured to exact customer specifications," says Cheryl Schnuth, STL's vice president of marketing and technical sales.

"Variations in the design can include radial and lateral loading capabilities, tire/wheel assembly size, lateral and torsional travel and platform size."
