Big O Tires Inc. recently hired Peter Hultgren as senior vice president of strategic business development.
Hultgren, formerly vice president of franchise sales for Arby's LLC, will report directly to John Adams, president of Big O. He will be responsible for business development strategy and execution and will oversee franchise sales activities.
There are 560 Big O franchises located in 22 states, primarily in the West and Midwest.
"Peter's success and experience with large franchising companies will be a tremendous addition to our company," said Adams. "We are looking forward to the contributions that Peter will make to our organization in our efforts to be the number one tire retailer in North America."
Hultgren has 23 years of experience in the franchise industry. In addition to Arby's, he has held sales and marketing management positions with ComputerLand Corp., MicroAge Inc. and Round Table Pizza.
Big O also distributes tires and other automotive service products to Associated Dealers in Western Canada. Since 1996, Big O Tires has operated as a subsidiary of Florida-based TBC Corp.
