The Arkansas Independent Tire Dealers Association's (AITDA) first Scholarship Fishing Derby was a success, the association reports.
The event was held at the Shoal Bay State Park in Lake Dardanelle, Ark. Fourteen fishermen and seven other attendees raised $600 for the scholarship fund.
The association's fifth annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 10, 2005, at the Point Royale Golf Course in Branson, Mo., reports association president Kevin Edens.
