Michelin North America Inc. (MNA) has installed its first tire inflation station at a rest stop in Landrum, S.C.
"The free inflation station will provide a designated area for all motorists to easily check tire pressure, fill tires with the proper amount of air and learn more about tire safety and the importance of proper tire maintenance," say MNA officials.
The Landrum site is the first of seven inflation stations scheduled for South Carolina's rest stops.
The station was launched in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
