Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named Laura Thompson vice president of business development.
Thompson will be responsible for Goodyear's acquisition, divestiture and partnership activities, say Goodyear officials.
"In her previous position in (the company's) North American Tire (unit), she was the lead player in key business development transactions," says Darren Wells, Goodyear senior vice president of business development and treasurer.
Thompson, who started with Goodyear 21 years ago, will report to Wells.
