Tenneco Automotive Inc.'s new Monroe Reflex monotube-style shock absorbers will be available in July.
The product will initially include 23 part numbers and will cover popular Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep and Hummer applications that were factory-equipped with monotube technology, including the Chevrolet 1500 Silverado 4WD, the Ford Ranger FX4 4WD and others.
The shocks contain a high-pressure gas charge that is separated from the units' internal oil to provide additional spring rate, say Tenneco officials.
