Titan International Inc.'s tire and wheel production increased in 2004 versus 2003 levels.
Daily production at Titan's tire plant in Des Moines, Iowa, grew by more than 20%.
"The use of stripwinding technology at the Des Moines facility continues to expand," say Titan officials.
"Efficiency was further enhanced through additional robotic treading capacity and a reduction of average change-over time from hours to minutes."
Production at Titan's wheel plant in Quincy, Ill., hit record levels last year.
Transfers of manufacturing equipment from Titan facilities in Iowa and South Carolina should boost the factory's output by more than 25% in 2005, say Titan officials.
