Organizers make it easier to attend Autopromotec

April 14, 2005

The organizers of Autopromotec 2005 have entered into two major agreements to make it less expensive to reach and visit Autopromotec, as well as to offer the chance to combine the visit to the trade show with a holiday in Bologna and Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Autopromotec 2005 will be held at the modernized Bologna fairgrounds in Bologna, Italy, May 18-22. In addition to the exhibitors, the Ministry of Production Activities, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation, the Italian Trade Board and the Regione Emilia-Romagna have pledged their support to the vehicle service and repair expo.

The first agreement gives foreign visitors airfare discounts of up to 45% on Air France, the official airline of Autopromotec 2005. "Thanks to the recent accord between the major French air line and the international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket, it will be easier and more economical to get to Bologna from outside Italy and see the best of the world's production of tires, machinery and parts for the transportation industry," said promoters.

The second agreement, with the hotelkeepers association of Riccione, makes available "excellent rates" for accommodations on the "Green Pearl" of the Adriatic, with free transport from the hotel to the fair and back in a tour coach for visitors and exhibitors who lodge in Riccione.

Exhibition space at the 21st expo is sold out, and the waiting list to occupy stands as they become available is getting longer by the day, according to promoters. There are more than 1,000 exhibitors, a 10% increase compared to the previous fair.

And for the first time, the traditional Autopromotec sectors of equipment and tires will be complemented by spare parts and car services, i.e., the official service networks of automakers and independent repair shops.

The organizers are forecasting that attendance at Autopromotec 2005 will exceed the 83,850 industry professionals attending the 2003 edition.
