CTNA rolls out new General truck tires

March 31, 2005

Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) officially introduced three new General brand medium truck tires today at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

They include:

* the General D660, which is designed for long haul, over-the-road use;

* the General S580, which is engineered for long haul steer positions. It contains an 18/32-inch six-rib tread design for long mileage, say CTNA officials.

* the General ST250, which is for long haul trailer positions. The tire contains 13/32-inch tread depth and a stone ejection system. It also features CTNA's proprietary Visual Alignment Indicators.

All three tires are available in the following sizes: 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75R24.5 and 295/75R22.5.

CTNA is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the General brand.

The Mid-America Trucking Show is being held in Louisville, Ky., this week.
