Automotive Hall of Fame inducts John Dunlop

The man who invented the first successful pneumatic tire, John Dunlop, will be inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame.

Other inductees include John Studebaker; mass production innovator Alexander Winton; Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons, race car drivers Mario Andretti and Shirley Muldowney, and TV ad pioneer Jim Moran.

Formal induction ceremonies will take place October 11, 2005 in Detroit.

The Automotive Hall of Fame is located in Dearborn, Michigan.
