The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for 2005-2006 board members.
"Any TIA member in good standing or an official representative of a state tire dealer association may recommend another member in good standing," says TIA President Dick Gust.
"Self-nominations are also welcome."
All nominations should be submitted by April 4, 2005, by completing and returning the TIA Board of Directors Nomination form to TIA headquarters in Bowie, Md.
The nomination form is located on TIA’s Web site, www.tireindustry.org, under “hot news” on the homepage. Nomination forms also can be obtained by calling TIA headquarters at (800) 876-8372, ext. 112.
"TIA is looking for energetic members with a passion for the tire industry," said Roy Littlefield, executive vice president of TIA.
"It’s a big-time commitment as there are many conference calls and meetings throughout the year. It is also a financial commitment as the association does not pay for most expenses of the board but the experience is invaluable."
