Goodyear sells former mold plant for $4.5 million

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has sold its former mold manufacturing facility in Stow, Ohio, to Albrecht Inc. for $4.5 million.

The 106-acre property includes a 131,500-square-foot factory building, which Goodyear built in 1969 to manufacture tire molds. It was closed in 2002.

Goodyear manufactures tires, engineered rubber products and chemicals in more than 85 facilities in 28 countries.

Albrecht, a commercial real estate development company, owns and operates shopping centers in Summit, Cuyahoga, Stark, Medina and Portage Counties in Ohio.
