Pete's Road Service plans to market software

Fullerton, Calif.-based Pete's Road Service is preparing to market its proprietary tire software, which Jim Fletcher, the company's president, says is ideal for commercial tire dealerships.

Fletcher says the program will help cut paperwork. "We run about 10,000 to 12,000 receipts a month," he says.

The software also helps Pete's Road Service run its retread plant and service calls more efficiently.

Fletcher is eager to pitch the technology to other dealers. "Their input will help us improve the product."

Pete's Road Service -- which has nine commercial tire locations -- started using the service in 1999. It was designed in tandem with Advanced Business Software of Anaheim, Calif.
