The Tire Industry Association's (TIA) Global Council has traveled to tire shows in Germany, Singapore, Australia, South Africa and Canada in an attempt to convince tire industry professionals in those countries that attending the association's World Tire Expo (WTE) in April will be worth their while.
"We're very pleased with the global interest in WTE," says TIA Vice President Paul Hyatt.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone attending WTE to network with international colleagues, discuss industry trends and have international purchasing opportunities."
TIA officials report there is so much interest in the WTE in South Africa that Global Council members are returning to the country in March to host a "WTE preview."
The 2005 WTE will be held April 20-22 in Louisville, Ky.
