Continental Tire will raise prices Feb. 15

Jan. 9, 2002

Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) will raise prices from 3% to 5% effective Feb. 15 for commercial tires and March 18 for retail tires.

The price increases will affect passenger, light truck, truck and OTR tires. There will be "a certain amount of in-lining and price positioning," says a spokesperson.

CTNA is the last major domestic tire manufacturer to announce a price increase, the third industry-wide increase in a little more than 12 months.
