Plans to add to Uniroyal portfolio continue

Dec. 8, 2010

If you think the Uniroyal brand expanded its portfolio in 2010, wait until 2011.

To recap: Michelin North America Inc. spent this year refreshing its Uniroyal brand name and lineup. The company says it was "focused on helping simplify the tire-selection process and providing families with the value for which they are looking."

Michelin introduced two Uniroyal lines and additional sizes for a third in 2010, part of the brand’s largest line expansion in recent history:

1. Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ All Season, introduced on July 1 (see "Michelin unveils new Uniroyal Tire Paw");

2. Uniroyal Tiger Paw Ice & Snow II, introduced Aug. 1 (see "New Uniroyal winter tire coming in August); and

3. additional sizes of the Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring, introduced in July and September (see "New sizes for Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring line").

In 2011, Michelin says it will continue to broaden Unrioyal's "distinctive" product portfolio, and announce "new solutions for consumers that depend on quality and value in their tire selection."

“Everyone is putting a higher importance on value than ever before,” says Duane Thomas, Uniroyal brand category manager. “Uniroyal has a solid reputation for providing high-quality tires at an affordable price, giving drivers a sensible and reliable choice for their vehicles.”
