DSP and MTD: Industry leaders join forces
Dealer Strategic Planning Inc. (DSP) and Modern Tire Dealer have formed a strategic alliance to better serve the tire industry by sharing resources.
DSP invites non-competing independent tire store owners to join together in 20 Groups to improve bottom line profits through idea sharing, financial benchmarking and best practices. Co-owners Norm Gaither and Stu Zurcher believe the alliance with Modern Tire Dealer will help deliver DSP's message to potential members.
"As the only 20 Group focused on the tire industry, our members significantly outperform the industry," says Zurcher. "Too many dealers leave profits on the table, and we aim to change that when they join a 20 group.”
MTD Publisher Greg Smith says DSP has a proven record of success.

Together, DSP and MTD plan to reach out to interested tire store owners by sponsoring Gaither’s highly acclaimed financial workshop, “Improving Bottom Line Profit.” Details for this “by invitation only” event will be announced in early 2011 (interested dealers should contact DSP for more information).
