FF1600, which features spaceframe chassis with 1.6-litre Kent engines, has been a mainstay of club racing in Britain for more than 40 years. Competitors race in either a north or a south regional championship, with points scored also counting towards a national title. The Festival is a knock-out event that rounds out the season.

Seasoned racers compete against up-and-coming talents which, alongside stable regulations and the use of Avon’s ACB10 tyre, produces close racing.

"Naturally, we’re delighted to have secured the agreement to supply FF1600 for another three years,” said Paul Coates, General Manager, Avon Tyres Motorsport. “We’re very keen to work with the BRSCC on further initiatives to secure the long-term future of FF1600.
