Yokohama goes digital with iPad app

Visitors to Yokohama Tire Corp.'s LA Auto Show booth will have a chance to try the company's new, interactive iPad app, plus enter a drawing to win a tablet computer.

The iPad app will replace traditional tire and vehicle placards at the show, says Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama manager, advertising promotions and events.

The app includes Yokohama tire information and videos. All of Yokohama's consumer tire lines have their own sections within the app, which will be available through iTunes in early 2011.

The LA Auto Show runs Nov. 19-28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
