Bridgestone Americas Inc. (BSAM) has promoted Stephen Brooks to chief information officer, a newly created position.
Brooks most recently served as president, U.S., Canada and Monterrey Manufacturing Group (BAMG) for BASM. In his new role, he will oversee all information technology functions for the Bridgestone Americas family of companies. He will report directly to BSAM CEO and President Gary Garfield.
Brooks will be replaced in that position by Barry Owens, former executive director, Process Engineering Development, for BSAM. Owens has been promoted to the title of vice president, manufacturing, for BAMG.
