SEMA Show, Day Two: TRIB names new managing director

Nov. 3, 2010

The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) has named David Stevens its new managing director.

The announcement was made earlier today during the Global Tire Expo -- Powered by TIA/Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

Stevens, 42, replaces longtime TRIB Managing Director Harvey Brodsky, who was dismissed from the organization last month.

He has nearly 20 years of marketing, sales and management experience, having worked for MCI, AOL and other corporations. Most recently, he spent eight years managing international businesses in both Japan and the United Kingdom.

Bob Majewski, TRIB's new president, said TRIB's board of directors was impressed with Stevens' leadership skills, trade show management experience "and thorough understanding of technology," among other attributes.

"My complete, 100% focus is on the future of TRIB," said Stevens. "Ultimately, my goal is to drive membership value as much as I can. I am very focused on the future."
