Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. will continue to supply TBC Corp. with private brand tires for the next 10 years, according to a recently signed agreement.
Cooper makes TBC's Sigma tire line, plus various Multi-Mile and Cordovan label products.
The two companies have been doing business since 1971.
Their most recent supply deal was originally slated to run through 2004, "but because it's the 30th anniversary...and to reinforce the importance of the agreement, we're signing it now," says TBC CEO Larry Day.
Other private brand tire suppliers to TBC include Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
TBC is the largest private brand marketer in North America with a 7.5% share, according to Modern Tire Dealer statistics.
