SEMA Show, Day Two: TIA/Michelin announce scholarship winners

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and Michelin North America Inc. have announced the winners of this year’s Michelin/TIA Scholarship.

The program is open to part-time employees or dependents of full-time employees of TIA member-organizations who are pursuing post-secondary education.

A $2,500 annual scholarship was awarded to Nicholas Swingle of Waukee, Iowa. A $1,250 annual scholarship was awarded to Megan Amer of Vandergrift, Pa. Meanwhile, a $1,250 annual scholarship was awarded to Nicole Woodcock of Verona, N.Y.

According to Michelin, “to be considered for a Michelin/TIA Scholarship, applicants must demonstrate excellence in three primary categories: academic performance in the classroom; active participation in extracurricular activities at their school; and contribution to their local communities through leadership in civic organizations.”
