The latest marketing campaign from AKH Co. Inc., which does business as Discount Tire Centers, is designed to bring people into its stores and the Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 65-store retail chain, based in Huntington Beach, Calif., will give away 1,500 tickets to Laker games as part of its new partnership with the team.

For 13 consecutive weeks, Discount Tire Centers will draw winners at each of its 54 stores throughout Southern and Central California. The winners, selected from entry forms submitted at any Discount Tire Centers location, will receive two tickets to an upcoming Lakers game.

In addition to the weekly drawings for regular season tickets, Discount Tire Centers customers also will be eligible to win Lakers team-signed basketballs, playoff tickets and jerseys.

The marketing campaign continues an ongoing partnership between the parties.

"The 16-time world champion Los Angeles Lakers and Discount Tire Centers have each had their share of scintillating moments during their successful partnership," says the company. "But this season promises to be the most exciting yet for the Lakers, their legions of fans and Discount Tire Centers."

Since its founding in 1976 by the Andonian family, Discount Tire Centers has been dedicated "to
providing its customers the best tire and wheel selection, purchase guidance, automotive products and quality service for their money." The chain's comprehensive service list includes oil changes, brakes, alignments, shocks and struts, and factory scheduled maintenance on any make or model car.

AKH is the 13th largest independent tire store chain in the United States, according to the MTD 100. For more information on Discount Tire Centers, visit www.discounttirecenters.com.
