Oct. 14, 2010

Hankook Tire America Corp. has unveiled a giant, tire-shaped building wrap stretching across the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, New York City.

Times Square attracts more than 35 million people each year, according to Hankook officials, "making it an iconic advertising location."

"This is another example of our commitment to raise the premium profile of the Hankook brand in North America," says Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America.

"As the quality and performance of Hankook tires continue to be the foundation of our sales success, we must intensify our effort to attract even more new consumers to consider the Hankook Tire brand. We see this as a unique opportunity to do just that.

"This billboard will generate millions of brand impressions in a short period of time and associates Hankook with some of the most popular consumer brands in the world."

The 98- by 32-foot wrap extends from 45th Street to 46th Street and replicates the tread of Hankook's Ventus V12 evo tire.
