Sullivan Tire adds two stores, plans more

Oct. 14, 2010

Norwell, Mass.-based Sullivan Tire Co. Inc. has opened two retail locations, one in Keene, N.H., and the other in Windham, Maine. Both were acquisitions.

The locations bring Sullivan Tire's total number of retail outlets to 52, says Paul Sullivan, the dealership's vice president of marketing.

"We have at least two (more stores) that we will be opening by the end of the year," with the possibility of an additional outlet, he told www.moderntiredealer.com

Sullivan Tire, which is celebrating its 55th year in business, opened a new distribution center in Connecticut several months ago, giving it 12 warehouses.

Sullivan Tire is the 12th largest independent tire store chain in the U.S., according to the 2010 MTD 100. The company, which also has a commercial tire division, sells Goodyear, Firestone, Bridgestone, General, Continental, Michelin, Dunlop, Sailun, Uniroyal, Yokohama, BFGoodrich, Hankook, Pirelli and Kumho brand tires.
