Counteract Balancing Beads says that Bridgestone Corp.'s operation in Brazil has signed a contract to use Counteract's balancing product at 100-plus retread shops.
Brazilian trucks and buses "have to operate in extreme conditions and temperatures," say Counteract officials, "and as a result, new tires and retreads usually wear out twice as fast and fail more often than in cooler climates."
The company says its balancing beads can reduce truck tire operating temperatures by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
