Medium-duty truck production is climbing

Production of medium-duty commercial trucks is slowly climbing and will be up 12% this year vs. 2009, according to ACT Research.

Production of Class 5-7 trucks will grow 18% next year, a forecast reduction of 10%. However, production of heavy-duty (Class 8) trucks will be more accelerated, with year-over-year growth of 26% predicted for 2010 and an additional 57% in 2011, according to ACT, which tracks commercial trucking and vehicle trends.
