TRIB fires Brodsky, starts search for replacement

Oct. 6, 2010

The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) is looking for a new managing director following yesterday's dismissal of Harvey Brodsky, who held that post for the last 29 years.

Brodsky was fired during an Oct. 5 conference call with TRIB President Mike Berra Jr. and two TRIB board members.

In a statement sent to www.moderntiredealer.com, Brodsky said, "During my nearly 30 years as the managing director of TRIB, I have made many friends in the retread and tire repair industries and I thank them for their support during the many years we worked together."

In an Oct. 6 statement from TRIB, Berra said that the organization is looking for a permanent replacement with "strong communication skills" and the "administrative talents and the fund raising skills necessary for the successful operation of a non-profit organization."

Marvin Bozarth has been contracted to be interim managing director of TRIB while a search for a permanent managing director continues.
