Michelin Americas Truck Tires has won the Defense Logistics Agency's Land & Maritime Best Value Award for the third time.
Michelin was honored "for its performance in supplying tires to every branch of the U.S. military," according to company officials.
"Out of more than 6,000 military parts suppliers in 2010, Michelin was among a select few companies recognized for meeting performance requirements in the (agency's) Automated Best Value System."
In 2007, Michelin was awarded a competitive bid to procure, store and distribute tires to the United States military.
