MTD names John Snider Tire Dealer of the Year

Sept. 14, 2010

John Snider, president of Greensboro, N.C.-based Snider Tire Inc., is Modern Tire Dealer magazine’s 2010 Tire Dealer of the Year.

Snider was chosen to receive the tire industry’s most prestigious award from more than 33,000 eligible independent tire dealers throughout North America.

Snider, MTD’s 18th Tire Dealer of the Year, was selected by a panel of independent judges, who based their decision on his business success, marketing skills, management skills, industry knowledge and community involvement.

"We are thrilled to have Mr. Snider as our Tire Dealer of the Year,” says MTD Publisher Greg Smith.

As part of the award, MTD, in conjunction with Snider Tire’s suppliers, will donate $7,100 in Snider's name to the Greensboro chapter of The Salvation Army, the charity of his choice.

Under Snider’s leadership, Snider Tire has grown from a single-location dealership into one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the country with more than 40 locations in 10 states and $200 million in annual sales.
