Truck sales in China surged during 2Q

Sept. 3, 2010

Sales of heavy-duty commercial vehicles surged to more than 316,000 units in China during the second quarter, an 83% increase over 2Q 2009 sales.

ACT Research's recently published China Commercial Vehicle Outlook projects that full-year truck sales in China will exceed one million units, 62% more than 2009 full-year levels.

"However, sales volume is expected to decline from the second quarter peak over the second half of the year and into 2011 as China's economy eases towards slower growth," say ACT officials.
