Cheng Shin Tire & Rubber (Chong Qing) Co. Ltd. is building a new tire plant in China that will begin production in mid-2011.
The first phase of construction will represent a $300 million investment. At the end of the first phase, the plant will have a projected capacity of 30,000 units per day, according to Cheng Shin officials.
The factory will employ around 2,500 people.
