With 60 commercial tire locations, Tire Centers LLC (TCI) is "very happy with the (market) coverage we have," TCI CEO and President Guy Pekle recently told www.moderntiredealer.com.
Pekle, who replaced Joe Finney as CEO and president of TCI in May, said TCI is constantly looking at new services to offer fleet customers. (Finney was named senior vice president and president of Sears Automotive Group earlier this week.)
"The focus for us, really, is the fleets. When you talk about fleets, you have to take care of mounting, aligning, managing retreads... you have to take care of road service."
Offering Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. (MRTI) retreads, he added, is a key part of TCI's strategy. The wholly owned Michelin North America Inc. subsidiary operates 10 of its own MRTI plants. "All of our 60 commercial stores receive MRTI products from our MRTI plants."
