VIP Discount Auto Center has opened a new, 3,000-square-foot training facility at its Lewiston, Maine, store.
The center will train VIP employees in technical and sales procedures, say company officials.
"We have classes set up for every position in a store," says VIP President and CEO John Quirk.
Each of the chain's nearly 1,100 employees will be required to attend one day every six weeks.
Quirk acquired 48 VIP stores in early October; the chain now has 50 outlets.
