Design a new Uniroyal soccer ball and win!

Michelin North America Inc. will kick off the Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge on July 1. The challenge? To design a new version of the Uniroyal soccer ball.

The winner of the contest will not only have his or her design design featured on more than 100,000 soccer balls nationwide in 2011, but also receive prizes such as:

*  a set of Uniroyal tires,

* a $1,000 check.

* 50 soccer balls of the winner’s design,

* an  Apple iPad, and

* an official FIFA World Cup Soccer jersey.

“Since the Uniroyal Soccer Program started 11 years ago, we have given away more than one million soccer balls through our community tire dealers across the country, and one of the most anticipated parts of the program is the introduction of the ball each year,” says Ashley Ramos, Uniroyal communications manager.

“The Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge is another way for the soccer community to get involved with our program. This allows people the chance to get creative and have fun with the ball, which is the centerpiece of our program.”

To create and submit a version of the 2011 Uniroyal soccer ball, log on to beginning July 1, 2010. The contest ends October 15, 2010. Entries will be accepted via internet or mail.
