Weinger retires from Toyo after 28 years

Steve Weinger, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.'s vice president of strategic accounts, has retired from Toyo after a 28-year career there.

Weinger joined Toyo in 1982 as fleet promotions sales manager following a nine-year stint with Michelin.

He was promoted to national director of truck tire sales, eventually rising to his most recent position, where "he implemented programs that resulted in record increases in overall sales," according to Toyo officials.

"One such effort was the introduction of mass-appeal passenger car products for the Toyo brand. Both Weinger and an associate received an award from the company for the development and sales of the Toyo Spectrum passenger car tire. This led to a variety of products, including the Versado line of luxury tires."

"The Toyo family wishes to thank Steve Weinger for his years of service and contributions to the company," says Toyo Tire U.S.A. CEO and President Yasushi Takagi. "He has left a proud legacy with the company and we wish Steve the very best for a relaxing and enjoyable retirement."
