Kumho to support teen driving program

June 4, 2010

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. will support a new program sponsored by KeyBank that's designed to improve teen driving skills. The program begins on June 23 and will make stops at eight schools in Ohio and Indiana.

Titled Key to Safe Teen Driving, the course will offer a condensed version of the Mid-Ohio School's Honda Teen Defensive Driving Program.

Approximately 110 students at each school will receive classroom instruction and practice in wet braking and emergency lane changes under the guidance of Mid-Ohio driving instructors.

"Kumho is excited to help take Key to Safe Teen Driving on the road," says Rudy Consolacion, motorsports manager for the tire company. "Being part of this initiative allows us to give back to communities by helping teens improve their driving skills and learn about the importance of tire maintenance."
